We held a Christmas celebration for the children at the foundation on 23rd December with the help of some other organizations, artists and individuals i.e WAY(We Are Youths), Talent walls, Pamoja, Cyclops, Cissy Events, Dj Magic touch, MC Evelyn, Vyroota, Tamboy, Zoe star and BSD crew. We had wonderful meal with them which was prepared by the women from the sisterhood group, played different games, had performance from the artists and dancers around and we also received donations from the visitors who came i.e clothes, food, drinks, snacks, scholastic materials etc.
OBJECTIVES
To get donations for the organization.
To create Christmas memories for the children since Christmas day is a special day to celebrate………
To share love with the children and give them hope.
To inspire children to continue with their talents.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Children had a lot of fun with the visitors through games, dance and performances.
We received donations i.e scholastic material, clothes, food among others.
Visitor had a good time with the children and the celebration was a success.
Organisation awareness to some of the visitors that didn’t know about much about it before.
All team members were comparative and respectful.
All people that were expected to come turned positively.
PROBLEMS
The weather conditions were not favorable for the children and the visitors because it was so hot.
Misbehavior of some team member who stole the money which was to be used for the preparation of the party.
Misbehaviors of some of the women from the community who were fighting and stealing food.
Misbehavior of some parents who were fighting for the donations.
SOLUTIONS
We need to a land where can put a home to avoid being on the community playground where weather conditions don’t favour us
The money for events should be on the account till one day before the event and it should be given to a person responsible for it.
The team has to be more alert to avoid cases of misbehaviors of the people in the community.
The team should always try their level best to keep proper order when giving out donations
