The borehole which AOG offered to establish in partnership with Great Child Foundation was put in place at the school (BUWAMBO C/U PRIMARY SCHOOL) which was going through a challenge of children walking long distances and paying money to get it. The school was appreciative and the visitors promised to do more with time if God enables them.
OBJECTIVES
- For children to get clean water to drink.
- For the school to get water to use for cooking.
- To save children from walking long distances to look for water.
- To save money which was wasted in buying water.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- The school got clean water for the children to drink.
- The school got water to use for cook, cleaning and watering the plants.
- Children who stay near the school were also saved from walking long distances to get water.
- The money which was used to buy water was saved for other use.
- Parents near the school also were able to access clean water.
CHALLENGES
- We were not able to solve the other problems the school had i.e leaking class blocks during rainy season and lack of enough desks in classes.
- The school was also facing a challenge of inadequate toilets for children to help themselves from.
- Our visitors faced a problem communicate well with all the children since the language they were not so good at it
