Education

Our education program focuses on ensuring that every child is able to get quality education both formal and informal. We do this by partnering with schools and organizations that are into education. We also work with individuals to sponsor children as they are in school.

Formal educational Support

We focus on a select number of schools at any given time, and then works with a subset of these schools to develop sustainable programs to improve holistic learning outcomes.

Our education programmes improve access to learning by being gender responsive and focusing on increasing the child’s knowledge. We establish partnerships to respond to the needs of working at scale. We design innovative gender-responsive programming that incorporates health and nutrition initiatives, develops employable skills and enhances the role of civil society in enabling girls and boys to complete a full cycle of quality education. We support holistic and relevant learning outcomes by focusing on enhancing learners’ curiosity, imagination, resilience and capacity to respect and care about their well-being and that of their friends, families and communities.

Informal Education

The Informal Education Program consists in an educational methodology focused on dialogue that is suitable for application by community-based organizations or institutions like correctional institutions. It usually doesn’t lead to certification but, instead, to the awareness that learning is always exciting and possible.

Our focus is on providing safe spaces for learning in a positive, supportive social environment, and on facilitating attention to encourage personal growth and development in children. Parents, older students, teachers, and volunteers can all make a contribution to the learning experience of children in this modality, It also serves as an entry point to other educational opportunities for children who never enrolled in school, dropped out, or have been otherwise traumatized by their life experiences.

It involves participatory interaction between children, families, communities, teachers, and others is incorporated into activities that result in children building a mental map of their lives, the factors influencing them, and their priorities.
