Health yo

We ensure that every child in our homes or under our family engagement can be able to access medication at any time in specific hospitals or clinics.
We partner with different health institutes to support the foundation through their CRS Programs.
We have developed this health project called “Health Yo” in which we ensure to provide free medical checkups, first aid and invite medical professionals to talk to the parents or guardians of the children as well as the youths.
This project has a lot of health ideas carried out to work towards the end of child mortality, proper health and medical knowledge.

The Early childhood Development Program.

It’s well known that 85% of the human brain is developed by age 5 and it’s much difficult to improve cognitive development after this. 50% of the child’s cognitive development is influenced by their environment. It should also be noted that 71 million of Africa’s kids don’t reach their full potential due to poverty, poor health, nutrition and care.

To end this state of dilemma for the infant population, the foundation has developed a project that focuses at developing children in the physical, linguistic, cognitive and social-emotion aspects from the age of 3 -10 years of age. As we have identified, the early stages of childhood development are important for building a strong foundation of a child’s life. These developments range from health, nutrition, education and co-circular activities.

This project runs with two major activities to ensure that children are brought up to be of not only sound mind but also health and social-emotionally upright;
Parenting and nutrition: Parental care is equally essential in the life of every child though in some situations children are denied this care due to loss of the parents or lack of knowledge especially for people who become parents at a rather tender age.
To address the issues of proper parenting, children that have no family are attached to the foundation homes and each child attached to a specific care take with a ratio of care – taker: children being 1:6.

These caretakers ensure the child receives all basic needs (nutrition, medical and social-emotion) and a home-like setting to grow in.
We also partner with organizations that are running programs for youths in health dealing with issues of mental health, early pregnancy, and spread of STDS while providing counseling and guidance.

Wash

This is a collective term for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. We look at them interdependently however as much as they are three core issues being grouped together to ensure it as a growing sector within the organization, each is a separate field of work being dependent on the presence of the other.
We ensure our children and the entire community have access to quick clean water within a hygienic environment.
Food and Nutrition: Leveraging on our Agricultural projects we ensure proper dieting and food security for the children throughout the year
